A book of thriller fiction is a hidden real time manual

Happy summer to my MEND™ followers! In honor of our five year mark, I am reposting a wonderful article written in 2010. The interviewer was marvellous. From her well-researched questions, she got me to describe the “machinery” protagonist, Lily Barrington unlocks in the first book about the MEND™ invention.  The blog has been blooming for five years. It  is a resource, a library of teasers and episodes. It promises to bring you quickly up to speed. The article focuses on the  deep and troubling conflict the protagonist faces, and what she must sacrifice to give ready access to the public!

Read the Interview. Then scroll down to the previous post “Book 1: The Skeleton Score”.  Enter a chilling scene Lily Barrington must face in order to give you User Power in the dynasty’s secret plan.

“In a time when full immersion is the key to any good entertainment experience Mardi-Ellen Hill has managed to create a multi media-universe that allows the participant to be drawn into a world of her creation through any number of doors.  Choose your favorite: book, game, music, and let the hidden mystery that is the MEND™ Universe unfold.

I got a chance to chat with creator Mardi-Ellen Hill who could explain this multi-level, multi media project far better than I ever could . . .” Read more:

The MEND Universe is not a parallel Universe in the normal sense of the phrase. But rather, it’s a fictional mirror of our contemporary, complex, fast-changing wired-culture. As Mardi has often stated, her story is the operating manual for navigating today’s confusion. The MEND Universe takes immersion to a whole new level. We each MEND our lives in different ways.

    • @john kiehl, Agreed. If we are all actors, then let’s act like it, right?! The MEND Universe reminds me of playing Dungeons and Dragons back in the day – the roll playing game… Players can either follow the story and characters, or actually engage with the story and play along. The MEND platform, is both active and passive, allowing us to read, play and react to the story and each other across mediums, in a similar way that we do in real life. Blurring the lines between fact, fiction, digital and analog make the Mend Universe a fun, new, dynamic and unique multi-medium story and platform.
